In the secondary art market, condition is everything. We must verify authenticity and check for hidden damages (such as foxing or cracks) that photos cannot show. Your rights are protected by our signed Purchase Agreement, which legally obligates us to release payment immediately once the item passes inspection.
Our Buyout service offers speed and certainty. We deduct a percentage to cover inventory risk, storage, insurance, and future marketing costs. You get immediate liquidity without the months of waiting associated with consignment or private sales.
If we find undisclosed damage or authenticity issues, we may offer a revised price based on the actual condition. If declined, the item will be returned.
Important: If the discrepancy is due to seller misrepresentation (e.g., undisclosed damage or fake items), the return shipping cost is the seller's responsibility.
Insurance covers carrier mishandling, but NOT poor packing. You are responsible for packing the item professionally (we provide a guide). If the damage is caused by improper packaging, insurance will deny the claim, and we cannot purchase the item.
To comply with safety regulations, we require a valid Government ID (for the Purchase Agreement) and proof of purchase (such as an original receipt, invoice, or Certificate of Authenticity) to prove provenance and legal ownership.
