Mr. Doodle is the alter ego of British artist Sam Cox, who describes his style as "OCD" (Obsessive Compulsive Drawing), a relentless urge to fill every blank space with drawings.
It is the term Mr. Doodle uses to describe his visual style—a continuous, flowing line that twists and turns to form characters, patterns, and objects without lifting the pen.
His process is almost entirely improvised and freehand. He draws rapidly and intuitively, allowing the composition to evolve naturally without preliminary sketches.
It is his magnum opus—a real mansion in Kent, England, where he spent years covering every inch of the interior and exterior with his hand-drawn doodles, turning his home into a living artwork.
While often compared to Haring due to the thick lines and dense composition, Mr. Doodle's work is less political and more focused on creating a whimsical, immersive "DoodleLand" that spreads joy.
His work explores themes of happiness, escapism, and the sheer love of creation. He often reimagines classic art history or everyday objects through his playful, monochromatic lens.
